Gif. Making the starter these mini boules (little round breads) are made with a stiff sourdough starter dough and no added yeast. These are made with the freshest ingredients and your choice of flours.

You won't notice as much of a rise in the dough as you would with a normal, yeasted bread and it will take. This is a basic bread dough recipe you can use for dinner rolls, too! Yeast itself will produce alcohol when left to its own devices.

Sourdough bread bowls are perfect for soups, stews and especially chili.

Then topped with melted cheddar shreds. You can buy a sourdough starter at the grocery store or make your own. The sourdough bowls start in the bread machine and then you turn the dough out on a countertop to shape them into large buns. I had my first bread bowl late in life, in my twenties.
